The Skylark fits into a new category of kayak considered transitional or cross over. While essentially a recreational kayak in size and fit, the Skylark has been endowed with much more consideration to the features and performance found in a full-fledged sea kayak. Eddyline designed this boat with abundant stability and a roomy fit to make the entry-level paddler comfortable, yet the efficiency to keep up with longer boats on an easy cruise. At the same time we want the more experienced paddler to have fun, so we added hard chines for carving and Greenland styling for looks. Impex Mystic

The Impex Mystic (front and center) sports a shallow "V" design that allows for greater primary stability. To completement this primary stability and in keeping with a tradational Greenland style kayak, Impex increased the rocker which really added to this boats versatility. This marriage of features provides for better hull speed and improved tracking for touring.

Fast and good tracking is only half of the story. The Mystic also has enough rocker to turn with a paddle stroke on a lazy paddle, but get this boat on edge and it has the maneuverability to explore the tightest spots in the local creek or race confidently down the biggest wave face.

Impex finished off the performance by adding a medium chine. The chine allows the kayak to have excellent secondary stability while edging the kayak, maintaining the comfort and stability that we all demand. NDK Explorer

The Nigel Dennis Kayaks (NDK) Explorer is the large expedition version of the NDK Romany 16. It has similar design attributes of its shorter cousin, but higher hull speed and more cargo room for expedition-minded paddlers. This kayak with a long waterline fills the niche for a sleek, yet stable expedition kayak. It carves turns gracefully. Its high volume bow stops the kayak from plunging into waves and together with its maneuverability gives a paddler good control in surf. NDK Romany Surf

The Nigel Dennis Kayak's (NDK) ROMANY SURF, is designed as a day, play, short trip kayak for the larger paddler that wants that Romany performance. It has a wider keyhole cockpit than any other British made fiberglass sea kayak and has more volume in the rear to support the paddler's extra weight and gear.
